The Topeka Zoo was the first zoo in the world to raise a golden eagle chick in captivity. The zoo is located within Gage Park near the Memorial Park Cemetery. Once referred to as the "World Famous Topeka Zoo," it was one of the first of its kind to feature a rainforest exhibit.
