The 160-acre Gage Park was donated to the city in 1899 by the heirs of the Guilford Gage. The park is located in the downtown area adjacent to Mt. Calvary Cemetary. Inside the park are the Topeka Zoo and the famed Reinsch Rose Garden, once claimed to be the greatest rose garden in the world.
